Tuition

Dojo Fees are due monthly for the amount of classes you would like to take. The following fees are applied to both classes at KCC and at UHM:

classes 4 8 unlimited
Kids & Students $35 $45 $55
Adults $35 $50 $65

Family Rates:

1st Family Member = Pays full tuition
2nd Family Member = 30%
3rd Family Member = 50% off
4th Family Member = 70% off

Example:
For 4 classes a month: the first person pays $35, the second pays $24.50, the third pays $17.50, and the fourth pays $10.50 for a total of $87.50. A saving of $52.50!

Classes

We currently offer eight classes each week, in addition to the monthly Beginners’ Series.
There are Kata classes, Kumite classes, and generic classes for all levels. For higher ranking students there are special classes for Blue Belts and above Kobudo, and a weekly Brow and Black Belts only Class.

Class locations

Minakami Karate Dojo Hawaii currently offers classes in two different locations: Kapiolani Community College Chapel (KCC) and University of Manoa Athletic Complex Studios (UHM).

  • take H1 West (towards Ewa Beach)
  • take Waialae Exit (26)
  • left on 16th Ave.
  • straight to KCC

  • get on Waialae Ave. (Towards UH)
  • left on 21st Ave.
  • right on Kilauea Ave.
  • left on 18th Ave.
  • right on Diamond Head Rd.
  • the Chapel is on the right

  • left after Guard Shack (M-F $4 parking fee)

  • take H1 West (towards Ewa Beach)
  • take University Ave Exit (24B)
