Ossu Everyone! Again, thank you to all that participated in our Magic Island clean up community service. It was a great success and a fun day of eating, swimming, playing games, and getting to know more of our dojo members and families!
Beginning on Sunday, December 6th – Sunday, December 13th the Minakami Karate Dojo will be collecting donations for the Hawaii Food Bank. Everyday we feel the impact the economy is having on all of us. We’ve had to tighten our belts, deal with furloughs, lay offs, unemployment, or finding a different or even second and third job to make ends meet.
Unfortunately there are many with way less than we have. Helping by donating food can make a difference in our community and to some of those in need. Look in your pantry, grab a can or two, and please bring it to class for the donation week. I will be dropping off the total donation on Monday, December 14th to the warehouse of the Hawaii Food Bank in Mapunapuna.
Their list of needs in order are:
1) canned protein (tuna, meats)
2) canned meals (spaghetti, chili, stews)
3) soups
4) canned vegetables or fruits
5) packaged foods(rice, instant ramen)
Thank you, Ossu! Minakami Karate Dojo Hawaii
