MKDH will be putting on a fun karate demonstration at Arcadia Retirement Residence on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 3:00 PM. We will show some kata, kihon, kobudo and lots of good kiai-ing! The demonstration is a social and stimulating event for the residents, and a chance to share our karate skills and spirits with those that may not have an opportunity to see karate up close.

In order to participate, you need to:

• Be a MKDH Kid – meaning students wearing red patches
• Available on BOTH Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM (practice) AND September 16, 2009 at 3:00 PM (demo)

Also, there will be another demonstration in Nuuanu on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 11:30 AM. All are welcomed to participate. Those who wish to participate need to come to the practice on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM.

MKDH will be cleaning up a designated area of Ala Moana Beach Park. Trash bags and gloves will be provided.

After the clean-up, we will be having a dojo picnic (POTLUCK).
